Kenny Britt arrested again -- this time for DUI

Last offseason, Titans wideout Kenny Britt was held up as a prime example of off-field misbehavior without the structure of training camps, thanks to a number of run-ins with the law. But maybe it's just Britt: he was arrested for DUI in Fort Campbell, Kentucky early Friday morning, military officials told the Associated Press.

The Titans released to Jim Wyatt the standard-issue vague comment about gathering facts. (It, literally, is boilerplate.)

"We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering more facts," the Titans said in a statement.

This is extremely bad news for Britt, as it is his eighth -- eighth! -- arrest since he was drafted by the Titans in the first round (30th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Britt was involved in a number of different run-ins with the law during the locked-out offseason last year, but wasn't punished because there was no CBA. Britt was arrested last June a day after appearing in court. Britt had a third run-in with the law later that summer.

He rebounded to start of the 2011 season in a big way, but blew up his knee and needed ACL surgery. Britt was supposedly looking good this offseason but word came out this week that he had a reported new surgery after mini-camp.

Britt's history with legal issues will make the Titans happy they drafted Kendall Wright in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft (so much for him not being an impact rookie, eh, readers?). That's mainly because Britt is all but a lock for a suspension from Roger Goodell. Britt skated because of the CBA last summer, but the Commissioner issued a warning his way.

"The commissioner restated his expectation that Britt will be responsible for his actions going forward and noted that future incidents will lead to appropriate discipline," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said last August.

Don't bank on Britt's "hacked" Facebook account helping matters much either.
