Jermichael Finley suffers concussion; his wife breaks the story

It didn't take long for somebody to sustain a concussion at a 2012 NFL training camp, and that unlucky person is Packers tight end Jermichael Finley. The good news for Finley: it's apparently a “minor” concussion (as if a traumatic brain injury really could be construed as “minor”) and he should return in the next few days.

But confusion reigned briefly when the Packers took the field for practice Friday and Finley was nowhere to be found. Until, Finley's wife came to the rescue on Twitter (via Bleacher Report's Aaron Nagler).

Apparently, Green Bay officials didn't enjoy a players' wife breaking news on her husband's injury (can you imagine how furious Mike Mularkey would be about all of this?), and she soon deleted the tweet.

Not that it was much of a secret afterward. Packers coach Mike McCarthy confirmed the injury after practice and said it won't keep Finley out for long.
