John Skelton beat out Kevin Kolb for the right to start for the Cardinals.

But midway through the fourth quarter vs. the Seahawks, with the Cardinals behind by three points, Skelton injured his right ankle and was replaced by Kolb.

Skelton was in obvious pain after being taken to the ground by a Seahawks defender, and he had to be carted off the field. According to Sports Illustrated, his ankle is not broken and he's being treated for a high ankle sprain. Before he was driven away, he was surrounded by his teammates and hugged by those who could reach him.

Skelton was 14 of 28 for 149 yards and an interception. Kolb finished the drive going 6 of 8 for 66 yards and throwing a touchdown pass to Andre Roberts to give Arizona the lead en route to a 20-16 road win.
