In week 3, here are the injury updates from around the league on Sunday.

  • Redskins left tackle Trent Williams had to be helped off the field with a leg injury on Washington's first drive of the game. He has gone into the locker room. Williams has since returned to the game, but he's also limping.
  • Jets rookie receiver Stephen Hill appears to have injured his right leg. According to a report, Hill missed his block on the outside and then got clipped by a linebacker. Hill has since returned to the game.
  • Redskins cornerback Cedric Griffin has a hamstring injury, and his return is questionable.
  • Bengals receiver A.J. Green went down after falling just short of a touchdown on Washington's 1-yard line. But he got up and ran off the field without any help.
  • Titans tight end Jared Cook has a left shoulder injury, and he now officially is done for the day.
  • After 10 carries for 61 yards, Dolphins running back Reggie Bush left the game late in the first half after he seemed to hurt his knee. He walked off the field under his own power, but he probably won't return to the game until the second half. If, at all. UPDATE: He's out for the game.
  • Chiefs receiver Dexter McCluster hurt his left elbow while making a catch early in the third quarter. He made an outstanding catch, but as he put his elbow down to break his fall, it folded under the weight of his body. He had to be helped off the field.
  • After making his first catch of the day, Colts receiver Austin Collie stayed on the field and appeared to be grabbing for his right knee. As Collie was helped off the field, he put no pressure on his right knee. He is out for the game.
  • Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox has a migraine headache, and his return is questionable.
  • Broncos linebacker Nate Irving after he made a tackle on punt coverage. It appeared that Irving's head collided with Trindon Holliday's shoulder. Trainers took the facemask off his helmet before he walked off to the locker room under his own power. The team says Irving has suffered a concussion and won't return.
  • Broncos running back Willis McGahee has a rib injury, and his return is questionable.
  • Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett has a hamstring injury, and he's currently walking around the sideline with a big wrap on his leg. It seems doubtful that he'll return.
  • Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey was carted off the field early in the fourth quarter after he was blasted in the end zone by Steelers safety Ryan Mundy. It appeared that Mundy's helmet hit Heyward-Bey in the chin. There was no penalty. It took medical personnel several minutes to load Heyward-Bey on a body board. Before he left, he was surrounded by several teammates. Before he left, after an agonizingly-long wait, he moved his arm and gave the crowd the thumbs-up. He has been taken to a local hospital after suffering a neck injury. UPDATE: Some good news: though Heyward-Bey will stay in the hospital overnight for observation, he's in stable condition.
