Bengals WR Mohamed Sanu throws 73-yard TD pass to A.J. Green

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

You wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts! Or we could just go over to the Redskins-Bengals game and hang out, because it's purr-tee crazy in D.C. during the early going.

Mohamed Sanu started things off by taking the opening snap out of the wildcat formation and heaving a beautiful 73-yard touchdown pass to a wide-open A.J. Green. (Watch the video here.)

Sanu, a former high-school quarterback, is having a MUCH better day than the Bengals' actual quarterback. Andy Dalton, on Cincy's two other drives, managed to go 2-for-4 for 24 yards and an interception. It was a costly pick too, as Dalton's ball was intercepted by Rob Jackson in the Bengals end zone. This is apparently a thing that can happen. (Just not often -- only four times since the merger has someone returned an interception zero yards for a touchdown.)

That helps the Redskins, of course, but you know what doesn't? Trent Williams suffering a leg injury. We'll have more on his status, and all of the injuries around the NFL, at our weekly injury round-up post, curated by Mr. Josh Katzowitz, so cruise over and check that out.
