Greg Schiano's son suspended from high school football team

Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano isn't the most popular coach in the league, offending Tom Coughlin with the way that he handled a Giants' Victory formation and being described as a bully to NFL scouts when he was the coach at Rutgers.

Now, Schiano's son, Joe Schiano, has been suspended from his high school team after using profanity at a game official (via the Tampa Tribune).

Joe Schiano is a sophomore linebacker at Berkeley Prep in Tampa. He was ejected from a game on Sept. 28 vs. Lennard for a “Level 2” unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, which results in a six-week suspension. That suspension carries through the rest of the team's season.

Berkeley has appealed the suspension to the state's high school athletic association.

“Hopefully, we'll know something soon,” Berkeley coach Dominick Ciao told the paper.
