Seahawks CB Richard Sherman smack talks Tom Brady on Twitter Sunday

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

Richard Sherman had himself a nice afternoon against New England on Sunday as the Seahawks upset the Patriots 24-23 in a Week 6 thriller. But the Seattle cornerback's night was even spicier thanks to some smack talk directed at Tom Brady.

According to Sherman, Brady trash-talked him during the game. Sherman was not going to take that.

"I kept saying I'm going to get that next time. Every TV timeout, I went up and said it right to [Brady]: 'Please keep trying me. I'm going to take it from you,'" Sherman said after the game. "That was when they were winning. He just gave me that look and said, 'Oh, I'll see you after game.' Well, I made sure I saw him after the game."

Oh ... I see. So Sherman ran his mouth as hard as possible at Brady, Brady said he'd see him after the game and Sherman took that to mean that Brady was coming at him HARD BRO. Or something. Whatever, Sherman blew up Twitter when he decided to post a meme-riffic picture of him and Brady following the game.

Sherman has since deleted the picture because, um, it was too personal I guess. Or maybe he was scared of copyright infringement -- he certainly didn't delete his other trash talk to Brady that was posted on Twitter.

And Sherman also took a shot at Patriots fans, wondering what they had "done lately," and likely inspiring lots of people in New England to say nice things about him on the social media site.

Sherman's trash talk seems a little excessive -- it doesn't seem like Brady was coming after him hard. But at the same time, you win, you get to run your mouth if you want.

And that applies doubly when you beat a team you won't have to play again this season.
