Jay Cutler to locker room early after getting crushed by Ndamukong Suh

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

With just over five minutes remaining in the first half, Jay Cutler took a snap on first down, was flushed from the pocket by Ndamukong Suh, attempted to escape and was eventually slammed to the turf by Suh.

He has since left the game, returned to the game, left the game again and is now in the locker room having his ribs evaluated by the training staff.

Please be advised the following GIF is not for the squeamish:

Cutler lay on the ground for a while after that violent encounter, but with Monday Night Football on commercial, he stood up and jogged to the sideline.

On the next play, with Cutler smiling (!) on the sideline, Jason Campbell came in for the Bears, scrambled right for five yards ... and was replaced by Cutler.

One incompletion later, the Bears punted. But after the Lions failed to do anything with the football, Chicago took over and it was Campbell under center as Cutler walked to the locker room to have his ribs examined.
