"Michael Vick will be the quarterback," Reid said when directly asked about possibly handing the rock to Nick Foles.
Vick's turnover issues and inability to recognize blitz packages are a major problem. But the Eagles offensive line is a disaster at this point. It's hard to imagine that Foles would step in and immediately, as a rookie, make a smooth transition.
For his part, Vick managed to keep his cool following the loss, but admitted to being frustrated.
"I'm very frustrated. These are games we certainly have an opportunity to win or get back into the game at some point," Vick said. "But that point everything has to be dead on. You can't miss. You gotta capitalize and you almost have to be perfect on every drive. It's very frustrating but we have to keep pushing forward."
Vick also sounded surprised when reporters asked him about his younger brother's trade-related tweets during the game. He denied any issues, said he would address it and said he loves "each and every guy in the locker room."
Once again the quarterback situation will be the primary focus for the next week. Maybe Andy Reid makes a change. Maybe he doesn't. The reality is it might not matter with the way the rest of the Eagles team's played this season.
