CBS Sports NFL Insidere Jason La Canfora reports that Vick is still not cleared for full physical activity and will not be active on Sunday because of the concussion he sustained during Philadelphia's loss to the Cowboys in Week 10.
Andy Reid told the media that Vick had a "pretty significant concussion" in the days immediately following the loss. But since then, Reid's been hesitant to rule out Vick for Week 11.
The issue now becomes how much time Vick will miss. There was speculation that the Eagles might "rest" (wink, nudge, etc.) him for the remainder of the season in order to see what they have in Foles, a rookie taken in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
If Foles steps in and looks good and the Eagles beat the Redskins, it's going to be hard for Philadelphia to rush Vick back. Reid's future has always seemingly been tied to Vick, but it's possible that by getting Foles in the mix and having his team succeed, Reid could ultimately buy himself another season in Philly.
Of course, it's always possible that Foles will struggle -- after he entered the game against Dallas and threw a busted-coverage strike to Jeremy Maclin, the Cowboys scored three defensive or special teams touchdowns and pulled away from the Eagles.
But if he doesn't, and Philly pulls out a win, you can expect Vick to suffer a "slow recovery."
