Report: Eagles coach Andy Reid won't be fired before Week 12

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

The Eagles might have bottomed out on Sunday, in their 31-6 loss to the Redskins in Washington. But it doesn't appear to be enough to cost Andy Reid his job.

Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports that Reid will continue to coach the Eagles through at least Week 12's Monday night game against the Panthers in Philadelphia.

At 3-7, the Eagles are almost literally finished. They are the second-worst team, record-wise in the NFC, ahead of only the Panthers. The Nick Foles experiment failed miserably on Sunday.

The defense, which continues to be a sieve, allowed Robert Griffin III to throw for 200 yards on 14-of-15 passing and four touchdowns.

Even a six-game winning streak would put Philly at 9-7 and probably out of the playoffs. But even knowing that, it wouldn't be stunning to see owner Jeffrey Lurie let Reid ride the season out.

This isn't some coach coming off a bad year shortly after being hired. Reid's part of the football foundation in Philly and, at least in my opinion, deserves a shot at finishing out the season, good or bad.
