Former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens arrested again

Two weeks ago, former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens married U.S. Women's National Team goalkeeper Hope Solo -- a day after Stevens had been arrested on suspicion of assault in a domestic violence incident involving his new wife.

No charges were filed and Stevens was released after the judge determined there was "zero" evidence that Stevens had assaulted anyone. But the former Seahawks first-round pick has a lengthy rap sheet, one that could get longer following a Wednesday arrest in Florida.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (via the Seattle Times' John de Leon), Stevens was arrested at 10 a.m. at a Tampa address listed as his residence. He is accused of violating his probation related to a marijuana possession charge stemming from an October 2010 arrest when Stevens was playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Last week, a spokesman for Florida's Department of Corrections told USA Today that Stevens had permission to travel earlier this month to Washington, where he and Solo argued about whether they'd live in Washington or Florida once they were married.

On Tuesday, after a U.S. Team workout, Solo told reporters that "My life is great … My life is happy."

"It's unfortunate what the media can do to judge before the facts are out there," she continued. "It's hard to see, but it's a hard truth, and it's part of life. I'm happy. I'm happily married. I would never stand for domestic violence. I've never been hit in my life."

Stevens' previous run-ins with authorities include being accused of attacking two bouncers at a Tampa bar in March 2011, and in 2007 he was convicted of drunk driving in Arizona. While in college at Washington in 2000, he was convicted of assault and accused of rape, and he also drove his vehicle into a nursing home. Two years before that he was charged with assault.
