Lions WR Titus Young inactive for Sunday

Though this shouldn't surprise anybody, Lions receiver Titus Young is inactive for Detroit on Sunday and won't play for the second consecutive week.

Young has been a problem for the Lions for much of his career, getting personal fouls at inopportune times and sucker-punching teammate Louis Delmas in the offseason.

Two weeks ago, the Lions' assistant coaches had enough when Young reportedly lined up in the wrong spaces intentionally and receivers coach Shawn Jefferson told offensive coordinator Scott Linehan he couldn't deal with Young any longer.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Young hadn't arrived at the stadium as of 11 a.m. ET Sunday.

During an interview with the assembled media this week, Young showed no contrition for his actions. Though Young didn't say much of anything in that interview session, Lions center Dominic Raiola didn't have a problem speaking his mind.

“We've moved on from him. He wants to be an a--hole, let him be an a--hole," he told the Detroit News. "It's not my problem."

According to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, the Lions aren't expected to release Young at this point.

“If Young stays in line on and off the field moving forward, he has a chance to play down the stretch, the source said,” La Canfora wrote. “What his teammates think of him right now, and the negative media perception, are not paramount to his long-term future with the team.”
