As you know, the Jets made a drastic personnel move in the second half of last Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals when they inserted Greg McElroy into the quarterback spot and sent Mark Sanchez to the sideline.
McElroy led the Jets on their only scoring drive in a 7-6 win, and CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported that coach Rex Ryan is leaning toward starting McElroy this Sunday.
According to the New York Daily News, owner Woody Johnson is in favor of that move as well -- though Manish Mehta also reports that Ryan and general manager Mike Tannenbaum would prefer to return to Sanchez.
As of late Monday, the Jets still didn't know their decision. Former Jets receiver Braylon Edwards -- who has been mostly irrelevant in San Francisco and Seattle since leaving New York after the 2010 season -- has an opinion, though.
Don't blame Sanchez. I played there. Blame the idiots calling shots. Mark is a beast and will probe it when given a proper chance— Braylon Edwards (@OfficialBraylon) December 4, 2012
As for Tim Tebow having a shot at the starting quarterback spot, it doesn't sound like he's in consideration. Still, Tebow continues to make an impact in his community, being a good citizen for people who are hurting and in need of support.
