Late Sunday night, Chiefs assistant linebackers coach Adam Zimmer was arrested on suspicion of DUI, via KCTV, and, at this point, coach Romeo Crennel isn't sure what role he'll play in the team's season finale Sunday vs. the Broncos.
"We do not condone DUIs; that's not the right thing to do,” Crennel told reporters. “So, I think that everybody knows that educating people about the hazards of driving under the influence is really what takes place and what needs to get done. So you do that to the best of your ability and then people have to make their choices, and they do make their choices and hopefully they make the right choices.”
Police said that Zimmer, the son of Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, was involved in a one-car crash a few hours after the Colts beat the Chiefs last Sunday to drop Kansas City's record to 2-13.
He's been with the Chiefs organization for the last three seasons, and before that, he spent four years with the Saints as an assistant.
