Sign in Packers bar taunts Adrian Peterson for just missing record

By Ryan Wilson | CBSSports.com

Last Sunday, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson ran for 199 yards against the Packers, giving him 2,097 yards for the year. That was nine short of breaking the single-season record set by Eric Dickerson in 1984.

Naturally, some enterprising Packers fan decided to celebrate Peterson's second-place finish.

This is like taunting the shark that's taken off both your legs but hasn't come back for the rest of you -- yet.

We wrote earlier that Peterson's recovery from the serious knee injury that he sustained in December 2011 has been a Purple Jesus miracle, and it's not like the man needs additional motivation heading into Saturday's matchup with -- you guessed it -- the Packers.
