Sign in Packers bar taunts Adrian Peterson for just missing record

Last Sunday, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson ran for 199 yards against the Packers, giving him 2,097 yards for the year. That was nine short of breaking the single-season record set by Eric Dickerson in 1984.

Naturally, some enterprising Packers fan decided to celebrate Peterson's second-place finish.


This is like taunting the shark that's taken off both your legs but hasn't come back for the rest of you -- yet.

We wrote earlier that Peterson's recovery from the serious knee injury that he sustained in December 2011 has been a Purple Jesus miracle, and it's not like the man needs additional motivation heading into Saturday's matchup with -- you guessed it -- the Packers.
