With former Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians taking the Cardinals head coaching job, Indianapolis has quickly struck to find his replacement. And it's somebody very familiar with quarterback Andrew Luck.

CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman confirms that Pep Hamilton, Luck's offensive coordinator at Stanford, has taken the Colts job. Sports Illustrated's Jim Trotter was the first to report it.

Hamilton has spent the past three seasons with the Cardinal. In 2010, he was the receivers coach before he was moved to the offensive coordinator spot for the past two seasons -- his official title, no joke, was the Andrew Luck Director of Offense. But before that, Hamilton spent a number of years as an NFL assistant.

He was an offensive assistant with the Jets from 2004-05 and the 49ers in 2006 before working as the Bears quarterback coach from 2007-09. Hamilton also reportedly had interviewed with the Jets for their offensive coordinator job.
