Nightclub owner allegedly involved in Trent Williams incident charged

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

Redskins left tackle Trent Williams was involved in a nightclub fight in which he was hit on the head with a champagne bottle, causing a seven-stitch gash on Friday, two days before the Pro Bowl.

Honolulu police said Williams wasn't under investigation, but they arrested 38-year-old Michael Miske Jr. -- the owner of the nightclub in which Williams was hurt -- and charged him with second-degree assault.

After the incident involving Williams, which kept him from playing in the Pro Bowl, the NFL warned players not to frequent Miske's M Nightlife club, “pending (the) outcome of a criminal investigation conducted by the Honolulu Police,” according to the Honolulu Star Advertiser.

The paper reports that Miske, whose bail was set at $250,000, has been convicted 10 times, including six times for felonies. Included in those convictions, the paper writes, were the fraudulent use of a credit card, kidnapping, felony attempted assault and third-degree assault.
