John Schneider: Richard Sherman's Revis tweets 'not really a big deal'

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Twitter war between Richard Sherman and Darrelle Revis as to who's the No. 1 cornerback in the NFL has dominated headlines in the past few days.

But don't expect things to slow down on Sherman's account -- Seahawks GM John Schneider said that he's perfectly fine with his cornerback's confidence on social media and that it's part of why the Seahawks "fell in love with him."

"No, we know Richard. To us it's not really a big deal," Schneider said. "It's what makes him who he is. It's one of the reasons we fell in love with him. It gives him the confidence to play the way he plays."

While Schneider was speaking, video of the feud was running on the TVs he was facing; Schneider actually pointed out to the media that Sherman was on TV.

It's clear that, while Schneider doesn't want to see anything get out of control, he's perfectly happy to see the chip on Sherman's shoulder motivate him to prove people wrong about his ability to play cornerback in the NFL.

"He feels like he's the best cornerback in the league and God bless him," Schneider said.
