Report: CB Dunta Robinson agrees to three-year deal with Chiefs

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

With a glut of cornerbacks and safeties about to land on the free-agent market, it makes sense those who have the opportunity to sign a deal before the market officially opens Tuesday would be inclined to do so. Witness former Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson, who was released by Atlanta last week.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Robinson has found his new team, agreeing to a three-year deal with the Chiefs.

Robinson is coming off a season in which he recorded 80 tackles and one interception, but he never was the same caliber of defensive back in Atlanta that he showed when he was in Houston. It'll be interesting to see if he can improve by playing in the same secondary as cornerback Brandon Flowers and safety Eric Berry in Kansas City.

Not everybody, though, was impressed with the reported move, especially since Kansas City released right tackle Eric Winston earlier this week, which drew the ire of left tackle Branden Albert.
