Report: LB Nick Roach agrees to terms with Raiders

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

When Brian Urlacher's hamstring injury kept him out of the final four games of the 2012 season, Nick Roach hopped into his middle linebacker spot with a chance to audition for the rest of the league. As free agency approached, as many as 10 teams reportedly called Roach's agent expressing interest.

On Friday, Roach and the Oakland Raiders agreed to terms to what's believed to be a multiyear deal worth between $3 million and $4 million per season, according to ESPN Chicago.

Roach finished the 2012 season with 66 tackles, 1.5 sacks and four passes defended. Reportedly, the versatile Roach, who could play a number of positions in the linebacker corps, will be Oakland's starting middle linebacker.
