Donte' Stallworth, who appeared in one game last season for the Patriots and has played for five other NFL teams, is reportedly in stable condition after a freak accident involving a hot air balloon on Saturday.

ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss reports the accident happened in the Miami area. ESPN's Adam Schefter adds that Stallworth is expected to make a full recovery and should be able to resume his playing career.

Currently a free agent, Stallworth's best NFL season came in 2005 with the Saints when he caught 70 passes for 945 yards and seven touchdowns.
