PHOENIX -- Rex Ryan, unsurprisingly, drew a big crowd at the AFC coaches breakfast on Tuesday.
He talked about his guarantee of a Super Bowl victory coming back to haunt him and -- even less surprisingly -- he was also asked about the Jets possibly moving Darrelle Revis.
"I know for a fact that we are not actively trying to trade Darrelle Revis," Ryan said.
It's a good sound bite from the breakfast, and it speaks well to where Rex stands on the Revis.
Not actively trying to trade Revis isn't not trading Revis. And Rex admitted that "if someone calls," the Jets will certainly pick up the phone and listen.
Translation? Rex doesn't want to move Revis, but he might not have a choice -- only he's encouraged that the market isn't exactly blowing up when it comes to suitors.
It shouldn't be stunning, but the Jets aren't united on this front at all. John Idzik is (wisely) not commenting, Rex is (passively) protesting the deal and Woody Johnson is (all but) admitting the Jets are going to deal their star cornerback.
In other words, the big top is still standing strong in New York -- at least for the moment.
