Jordan Shipley may not know who's going to be throwing him passes in Jacksonville next season, but that didn't keep him from re-signing with the Jaguars. Shipley signed a two-year contract with the team Thursday, the deal is worth $1.315 million, according to the Florida Times-Union.

Shipley originally signed with the Jaguars on Nov. 20 and made the most of his short stint with the team. Despite playing in only six games last season, Shipley finished the year ranked fifth on the team in receiving yards with 244.

The fourth-year veteran started his career in Cincinnati, where he was a third-round selection by the Bengals in the 2010 NFL Draft. Shipley's career got off to a hot start in 2010 when he led all NFL rookies with 600 receiving yards and tied for the NFL rookie lead with 52 receptions.

Shipley tore his ACL in Week 2 of the 2011 season, ending his year and effectively ending his career with the Bengals. The former Texas Longhorn then latched on with Tampa Bay in August and ended up playing in one game with the Bucs before being cut in September.

With his 52-catch season in 2010, Shipley has proven that he can produce when healthy.

Now the Jaguars just need to figure out who's going to throw passes to Shipley. Chad Henneand Blaine Gabbert are the candidates, but general manager David Caldwell has gone on the record saying he's going to add at least one more quarterback to the competition.
