The Ravens lost outside linebacker Paul Kruger to the Browns in the first few hours of free agency, and have been bleeding talent ever since. The organization hopes that's about to change.

Six days after the Broncos unceremoniously dumped Elvis Dumervil after a fax machine ate his contract, the Ravens have reportedly made the outside linebacker a contract offer, according to the Denver Post's Mike Klis, who adds that the "Broncos have offered slightly more money in the early portion of the deal."

On Tuesday, Broncos head of football operations John Elway said that, despite Dumervil's challenges with '80s technology, he wanted the pass rusher back in Denver. "We've offered Elvis a contract. We'd like to have Elvis back."

Before his release, Dumervil was set to make $8 million in 2013. But on Wednesday according to Klis, the Broncos' latest offer didn't match the previous one, leaving the linebacker predictably underwhelmed. In the meantime, Denver met with Dwight Freeney and John Abraham.

The Ravens reportedly have had serious interest in Dumervil since he hit free agency. As it stands, the depth chart at outside linebacker includes former defensive player of the year Terrell Suggs and Courtney Upshaw, the team's 2012 second-round pick. Behind them: Adrian Hamilton and Michael McAdoo, who combined for a grand total of one tackle last season.

Klis also reports that the Dolphins and Titans are talking to Dumervil's new agent, Tom Condon, but neither team has made a formal offer.

"There will be a plan in place and John Elway will execute it," Broncos president Joe Ellis told Klis Wednesday. "It would be great to see Elvis come back. He's been a great player for the Broncos. Time will tell."

Dumervil had 11 sacks last season playing opposite Von Miller, and 9.5 the season before. In 2009, he registered 17 sacks, and he signed a six-year, $61.5 million contract extension in July 2010, a month before a torn pectoral muscle sidelined him for the 2010 season.
