The Tennessee Titans and free-agent defensive end Ropati Pitoitua have agreed to terms on a new deal, the team announced Monday.

Further details of the contract are not yet known.

Pitoitua (6-8, 325) had the best season of his four-year career in 2012 with Kansas City, gathering 51 tackles and two sacks. He spent his first three seasons with the Jets, though he missed all of 2010 with a torn Achilles tendon.

The Titans added another defensive lineman, 329-pound Sammie Hill, last week. Pitoitua will be especially useful, though, due to his versatility.

According the The Tennessean, Pitoitua visited with both the Jets and Titans prior to agreeing to a deal with Tennessee.
