Raiders left tackle Jared Veldheer has beefed up this offseason

Raiders left tackle Jared Veldheer has quietly developed into one of the better -- and more underrated -- players at his position in the NFL. But there is nothing quiet about whatever the hell workouts he's doing this offseason.

And the results, as posted by his strength coach Mark Ehnis on Twitter, are stunning:

As the folks at Silver & Black Pride noted, Veldheer is YOKED. (The best part of SABP's post, though, is Ehnis retweeting it and noting "#yokeseasonisallseason.")

The beef-caking for Veldheer is apparently a result of the Raiders switching from a zone-blocking scheme to a power-blocking scheme. The tackle weighed in 312 when drafted by the Raiders, checked in at 321 entering last year and now, with his newfound MEAT, will weigh ... just 325 pounds?

Wow. So he looks the way he looks above but has only gained four pounds? That should be a comforting thought for Darren McFadden and whoever the Raiders trot out at quarterback (Carson Palmer's status being up in the air and all).

For comparison's sake, here's what Veldheer looked like in the middle of last year:

Yes, his arms do look a little less capable of crushing your face. And, just because it's awesome, the perfect photoshop of Veldheer's new look from Spencer Hall of SB Nation:
