The Tennessee Titans added a pair of veteran free agents on Monday in the form of wide receiver Kevin Walter and offensive lineman Chris Spencer. Both players agreed to terms on a one-year deal.

Walter is heading to Tennessee after spending the past seven seasons with the Texans. Walter started at least 13 games in six of his seven seasons with Houston and caught 39 or more passes in each of those six season.

Going into his 11th year, Walter proved that he can still be productive, the 31-year-old caught 41 passes for 518 yards and two touchdowns for the Texans in 2012.

"Both Kevin and Chris are established veterans in this league who have a great deal of starting experience," Titans general manager Ruston Webster said. "They have made significant contributions on good teams during their careers. We feel like they can come in and provide increased competition at their respective positions for us."

Spencer, a former first round draft pick of the Seahawks, will compete for playing time on the interior offensive line. The versatile lineman has started 89 games in his eight-year career, with 62 of those starts coming at center, 19 at right guard and eight at left guard. That includes last season with the Bears when Spencer started three games at left guard and two at right guard.

Drafted in 2005, Spencer spent six seasons with the Seahawks before signing with Chicago in 2011.
