Carson Palmer 'not concerned' about Cardinals' offensive line

Congrats Carson Palmer, you got out of Oakland. Now you get to play behind an offensive line that was far and away the worst in the NFL.

Arizona gave up 58 sacks last season, seven more than any other team. Cardinals quarterbacks got hit or hurried an additional 192 times, according to Pro Football Focus. Palmer will face fierce pass rushes from division rivals San Francisco, Seattle and St. Louis.

"I'm not concerned at all," Palmer said on KTAR in Phoenix, via SportsRadioInterviews.com. "If you look at it, you look at all the injuries, that's a freak thing. When you get that many guys hurt at one position group, that just doesn't happen year after year after year. ... With the coaching they're going to get from the guys we have on this staff, we'll get better at that position just like we'll get better at every position."

Both tackle spots were a disaster last year. As a result, most CBSSports.com draft experts expect Arizona to take Oklahoma tackle Lane Johnson with the seventh pick.

That would help. So would the return of tackle Levi Brown, who missed all of last season with a torn triceps. Second-year tackles Bobby Massie and Nate Potter "got some experience against quality opponents," new coach Arians told AZCentral.com. "They're just going to get better."

Not surprisingly, Palmer can't wait to start throwing to Larry Fitzgerald.

"You know, when you think about that position throughout the league and you think about Larry, Larry's as professional as they come. Larry's a businessman who happens to be a phenomenal football player. He does it year in, year out," Palmer said in the radio interview.

"He gets better each year, and the opportunity to work with a guy like him, he's going to rub off on everybody around him. ... The trickle-down effect you get from a guy like Larry makes average receivers really good and good receivers great. I'm going to learn a lot from Larry."
