JaMarcus Russell's highly anticipated pro day isn't happening.

While a number of teams are following Russell's comeback attempt closely, there's apparently not enough interest for a pro day.

The original plan floated by Russell's people was for the 2007 No. 1 overall pick to throw to Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald and other receivers this week, in front of multiple teams. Now, Raiders beat writer Vic Tafur reports, Russell “just wants to work out for teams individually.”

No word yet on whether any team wants to watch.

Last week, Russell said he had lost 27 pounds and at 288 wasn't “breathing like a fat man” anymore. He continues to train at Test Football Academy in San Diego with former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia, trying to make one of the most unlikeliest comebacks in league history.
