Don't go out and buy those Seneca Wallace Oakland Raider jerseys just yet.
It appears the Raiders haven't quite made a decision on which quarterback they're going to sign after working out a group Wednesday that included: Seneca Wallace, Tyler Thigpen, Troy Smith and former Texas quarterback Vince Young.
According to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, Wallace is the leader of the pack. Per La Canfora, the Raiders told the other quarterbacks that they were going to sign Wallace, who spent the 2012 season out of football. Although the team hasn't signed him, the Raiders are in communication with Wallace's agent and a deal is expected to get done. But the Raiders aren't the only team interested in Wallace's services, there is an unspecified second suitor, according to La Canfora.
If Oakland can't work something out with Wallace, the big winner could be Young, who hasn't thrown a pass in a game since December 2011. Young 'looked good' during his workout for the Raiders, according to NFL.com, marking the second time Young has impressed onlookers this offseason. At Texas' pro day March 26, Young reportedly looked great, with one scout even calling his performance magnificent.
Although the Raiders haven't officially signed anyone, the fact that they're actively looking is bad news for Terrelle Pryor, who could end up being the odd man out in Oakland. In late March, Yahoo! Sports reported that there's organizational skepticism surrounding Pryor, meaning his days as a Raider could be numbered.
