Former Southern California quarterback Matt Barkley had to wait a long time before his name was called in the 2013 NFL Draft, but the Eagles newest quarterback has vowed to make fools of the non-believers.
#USC QB Matt Barkley: ``I'm going to remember this weekend for a long time and so are the teams that didn't draft me.''

Barkley, who was initially slated as a potential first-round pick and second-best quarterback coming into the draft, slid all the way to the fourth round. A highly-rated quarterback out of high school, Barkley could have come out last year and potentially been a first-round pick.
As it is he's an Eagle, joining Chip Kelly's quarterback cadre along with Michael Vick, Nick Foles and Dennis Dixon. Of course, it remains to be seen just what Kelly and the Eagles are planning to do, but, according to CSNPhilly.com's Reuben Frank, trading Foles isn't in the cards.
I'm told Barkley pick has no impact on Foles. He won't be traded. Eagles really do like him and still plan on giving him chance to compete.— Reuben Frank (@RoobCSN) April 27, 2013
Should be an interesting preseason in Philly.
