J.J. Watt visits cancer patient who learns via 'Watt the Robot'

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

The headline above may be a bit confusing if you don't know about the VGo telepresence system that allows children with debilitating diseases to attend school literally by remote control. Once you figure out what it is, then you'd understand why Cristian Beasley, a young Texans fan who is part of the program, might name his robot "Watt."

And you can probably guess where this is going: Beasley was featured on the news, Texans superstar defensive end J.J. Watt saw him on there and decided to pay Beasley a surprise visit.

KHOU was there filming a second "feature" when Watt snuck up behind the young man while he was "in class" and whispered "What are you working on?"

The look on Cristian's face when he sees Watt says almost as much as what he was wearing that day -- a J.J. Watt jersey.

"What's up buddy," Watt said. "I'm J.J., nice to meet you, man."

If you're reading stuff about professional athletes that depresses you, well, this is the total opposite. And well worth a watch. But be careful, it might get a little dusty.
