A judge has ordered additional alcohol monitoring for Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent, who's charged with intoxication manslaughter in the crash that killed teammate Jerry Brown Jr., the Associated Press reports.

In a Friday court hearing, prosecutors said Brent violated the terms of his release by setting off an alcohol-monitoring device and failing to download data from it as required. Judge Robert Burns issued the order but did not raise Brent's $100,000 bond, according to the AP.

Brent is scheduled to go on trial in September for the Dec. 8 crash. Regardless of the outcome, he won't play for the Cowboys this season, according to the Dallas Morning News.

He reportedly was driving at least 110 mph before he lost control of his Mercedes in the fatal accident. Police said his blood-alcohol level was .189, more than twice Texas' legal limit of .08.
