Jets running back Mike Goodson is doing a good job of keeping his lawyer busy. Not only is Goodson facing five charges stemming from his May 17 arrest in New Jersey, but now Goodson is also facing a paternity lawsuit, according to ESPNNewYork.com.
According to court documents, a Houston woman is suing Goodson for retroactive child support, lump-sum child support and health insurance. Goodson allegedly fathered four children with the woman between 2005 and 2011. Court records show that three of the four children are Goodson's.
The woman originally filed action against Goodson in August 2010, according to ESPN New York, but she never pursued the case. At the time of the first lawsuit, the woman was living with Goodson's mother. The woman and her four children now live with the woman's parents.
Besides the Houston woman, two other women have also filed paternity suits against Goodson since August 2010, including a woman Goodson lived with for two years in Charlotte, N.C. Goodson is alleged to have fathered six children with the three women.
Goodson's legal woes also include being sued by a jewelry store for a $56,000 unpaid bill and being sued by two different apartment complexes for unpaid rent.
Goodson received a $1 million signing bonus when he signed with the Jets in March.
