"Hey, honey, do you mind if I rehab on the honeymoon?"

That's not a conversation most couples have, but it's probably something Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III and fiancée Rebecca Liddicoat have talked about recently.

RG3 assured everyone Tuesday that his honeymoon won't affect his rehab on his surgically repaired right knee and his ability to be back on the field when the Redskins start training camp July 25.

"I've said it a bunch of times, I'm pretty confident I'll be ready," Griffin said.

And yes, being ready includes rehabbing on his honeymoon.

"I'm planning ahead to make sure I do the things I have to do while I'm on that honeymoon," Griffin said. "And I think I'm a responsible guy, so I'll make sure I do everything I have to, to be ready -- cutting, running, working out -- and so when I get back and they see me, they'll be not only impressed, but they'll feel safe and sound to put me out there."

One thing that won't get in the way of Griffin's rehab? Wedding planning. Liddicoat is handling all of that.

"I have no say," Griffin said of wedding planning. "I'm just trying to make sure she doesn't become a bridezilla. She'll be fine, but I'm doing little things here and there behind the scenes, with the groomsmen, and little stuff for the wedding. She'll set everything up and then ask me whether I like this or that, and sometimes I actually have a choice and sometimes it doesn't really matter what I say. It's her day, so she's got to enjoy it."

Griffin plans to enjoy it, too. After minicamp ends Thursday, Griffin said he'll stick around the team's facilities for another week or two of rehab before leaving to take some time off to get ready for his July 6 wedding.

He'll probably also need some of that time to finish writing thank-you notes to the hundreds of fans who bought him wedding gifts.
