Eagles left tackle Jason Peters was arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase early Wednesday morning in Monroe, La.

According to the arrest affidavit obtained by USAToday.com, the arresting officer observed a white Camaro and a blue sedan at a red light at 4:45 a.m. When the light turned green, the report said, both cars accelerated at a high rate of speed. The officer pursued the vehicles, attempting to pull them over. The blue sedan complied immediately, but the white Camaro, with Peters behind the wheel, accelerated, reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph, according to the affidavit.

Peters, a five-time Pro Bowler, eventually stopped in a shopping center parking lot, and he followed the officer's verbal commands to exit the vehicle. The Eagles' lineman was then handcuffed and transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center, where he was booked on charges of drag racing and resisting by flight.

Peters was previously arrested in Shreveport, La., in March 2011 and charged with disturbing the peace at a Rick Ross concert.

The former Arkansas Razorback began his NFL career with the Bills. In 2009, Buffalo traded him to Philadelphia, and the Eagles signed him to a six-year, $60 million contract. Peters missed the 2012 season after suffering a ruptured Achilles' tendon during offseason workouts.
