LOOK: Broncos WR Wes Welker embraces hair transplant surgery

Other than the jersey, notice anything different about Wes Welker in the photos above? On the left, with the Patriots, there's homeless chic -- a mustache and a bowl cut. On the right, with the Broncos, is more of a Tom Brady-inspired mussed, metrosexual vibe.

There's also this: Over the summer, Welker underwent surgery … for a hair transplant.

“[The growth] doesn't happen right away,” Welker told USAToday.com's Chris Strauss. “You start to see a little bit after two or three months and in six months you get to see a little more. Once you get up to a year you're really starting to see the difference. It takes a full 18 months till it's fully grown in.”

And in typical Welker fashion, he's happy to talk about the procedure.

“It's nothing to be embarrassed about,” he said. “If you want to have hair, have hair. I don't like to sit there and say ‘What are you talking about? I never got my hair done.” People can notice it without wondering.”

Which got us to wondering what Welker might look like with other, less subtle coiffures.

The Constanza was clearly the future, hence the surgery. We feel The Sanchez, unlike the quarterback, is underrated, although we're partial to The Questlove as an homage of sorts to former teammate Randy Moss.
