Former UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin has spent a lot of his life in Los Angeles.
Franklin was born in Los Angeles and went to high school in Los Angeles before going to college in Los Angeles, so you'll have to excuse him if he's not exactly used to Green Bay yet.
The Packers fourth-round pick has found that his hometown and his new home aren't exactly the same place.
"Oh my gosh, from Los Angles to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Boy, I tell ya. It's like night and day," Franklin said this week, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I saw a moose head in a room the other day and I went crazy."
Porcupine's are crazy, too.
"I saw a porcupine the other day," Franklin said. "I mean it's crazy."
Green Bay might be different, but that doesn't mean Franklin isn't excited to be there.
"Green Bay is totally different to me, but it's just another journey in my life," Franklin said. "We all got our different paths, and we all have our different journeys. I'm excited to learn about myself more and see where my future goes and see the kind of man that I become in life."
If Franklin's future includes making the Packers 53-man roster, then he'll be back in California in no time. Green Bay's 2013 regular-season opener is at San Francisco.
