Before Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder in the death of Odin Lloyd, he was sued for allegedly shooting a man in the face. Those two cases aren't related, but they're now tied together.
The man suing Hernandez, Alexander Bradley, has been ordered to testify in front of a Massachusetts grand jury that has been put together to consider the murder case against Hernandez, according to the Associated Press.
Bradley originally filed the lawsuit against Hernandez on June 13 in Florida. The lawsuit was then dropped and formally filed again on June 20.
The lawsuit alleges that Hernandez shot Bradley in the face during a February dispute following a night at a Miami strip club. According to Bradley, the alleged gun shot to the face resulted in Bradley losing his right eye. Bradley, 33, is seeking more than $100,000 in damages.
Bradley, who currently lives in Connecticut, had been fighting the interstate grand jury subpoena. However, that fight is now over and Bradley is expected to be in court on July 17.
Hernandez is facing a five gun-related charges and one murder charge stemming from the June 17 death of Lloyd. Hernandez is also being investigated for his possible involvement in a 2012 double-homicide.
