The Green Bay Packers have locked up safety Morgan Burnett for at least four more years.

Burnett and the Packers have agreed to a four-year extension that could be worth up to $26 million, according to NFL Insider Jason LaCanfora. The new deal includes an $8.25 million signing bonus and $15 million guaranteed over the first two years.

A third-round draft pick out of Georgia Tech in 2010, Burnett was headed into the final year of his four-year rookie deal that would have paid him a $1.323 million base salary in 2013.

The 24-year-old safety missed the final 12 games of his rookie season in 2010 after tearing his ACL but has started every game since. Burnett led the team in 2012 with 123 tackles and also finished tied for third in interceptions with two.

Burnett also had a strong 2011, finishing second on the team in tackles (107) and tied for fifth in interceptions (3).
