When Aaron Hernandez was arrested in connection with the shooting death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, it took the Patriots less than two hours to release the tight end from the team.

But it looks like second-year cornerback Alfonzo Dennard will keep his job for now in New England after he was arrested for the second time in 15 months. Last week he was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

That's according to the Boston Globe, which reports the Patriots have decided not to cut Dennard.

The team, though, is preparing for a possible league suspension.

In April 2012, a week before the NFL Draft, Dennard was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer. In February, he was convicted, and received 30 days in jail (to be served beginning in March 2014) and two years of probation.

Now, the state of Nebraska is looking to revoke his probation after his most recent arrest, and an arraignment is scheduled for July 31. Dennard's representatives are claiming Dennard passed a breathalyzer and field sobriety tests, according to the Globe. The officer who arrested Dennard said he didn't blow hard enough into the breathalyzer tube.
