Texans defensive end Antonio Smith will be lighter in the wallet for his actions in Saturday's preseason game against the Dolphins. And he could be facing a two game suspension as well that's expected to be announced Tuesday, according to ESPN.

The details: While going against guard Richie Incognito, Smith removed Incognito's helmet before swinging and narrowly missing Incognito's noggin.

(You can watch the the scuffle here.)

No penalty was called on the play, even though an official was standing less than 10 yards away when Smith swung and missed. According to FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer, Dolphins coach Joe Philbin contacted the league about possible fines or suspensions. And in case you didn't know: NFL rules prohibit using the helmet as a weapon -- whether it's on your head or in your hands.

"Next question," Smith told reporters after the game. "I kind of took a blow to the head. I can't remember."

These two have a history; last season, Smith was fined for kicking Incognito during a game.

“A dirty player being let to play dirty … Ricky Incognito,” Smith said at the time. “Everything that's illegal that can be done on the football field he does it, but mainly he was hitting people after the play, sliding down on your leg grabbing your ankle and trying to twist to break your ankle, and he was doing it right in front of the referees and he was still in the game.”
