How marvelous was Saturday's football action? OK, OK. How marvelous was Rex Ryan on Saturday? Despite the Jets being relatively irrelevant, Ryan managed to steal the show Saturday by plugging in Mark Sanchez late in the fourth quarter only to see him suffer an injury.

This was pretty big news around the old Interwebs so naturally we had to break it down on the weekend recap of the Eye on Football podcast.

Did Rex mess up? Was Geno Smith horrible? Should Sanchez have been prepared? Where does this rank among all-time coaching meltdowns? Ryan and I debate.

Then we talk about Terrelle Pryor and Matt Flynn and what the Raiders should do about their quarterback situation in order to provide the maximum upside to their team in 2013.

There's also the matter of Kevin Kolb and his potentially career-ending concussion to talk about, so we hit that up and broke down what it means if the Bills signed Matt Leinart and traded for Thaddeus Lewis. (Hint: It's not good.)

Plus we run through all the relevent preseason action from the weekend and talk about our Defensive Rookie of the Year picks thanks to an impressive performance from the Rams Alec Ogletree against the Broncos this weekend.
