The Percy Harvin show in Seattle has been delayed for at least six weeks.

The Seahawks placed Harvin on the physically unable to perform list on Tuesday, meaning Harvin won't be eligible to play until Week 7 at the earliest. Harvin underwent surgery on a torn labrum in his hip on Aug. 1.

Seattle had to trim its active-roster down to 75 players by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, which necessitated the Harvin move.

Defensive end Greg Scruggs and cornerback Tharold Simon were also placed on the reserve PUP list, while linebacker Korey Toomer was placed on the reserve, non-football injury list.

Once a player has been PUP-listed, that player must sit out the first six weeks of the regular season. The earliest Harvin could play would be the Seahawks Oct. 17, Week 7 game at Arizona. If Harvin's not ready to go by Week 7, he could return as late as Week 15. Players on the PUP list must begin practicing by Week 11, but they are given a 21-day practice period before they count against the active roster.

Harvin will probably do his best to make sure he's back on Nov. 17, when the Seahawks host the Vikings.
