NFL cut day hasn't been kind to former first-round quarterbacks.

Over the past 24 hours Green Bay's Vince Young (third overall pick in 2006), Buffalo's Matt Leinart (10th overall pick in 2006) and New England's Tim Tebow (25th overall pick in 2010) have all been cut. Now you can add Seattle's Brady Quinn to that list.

Quinn, who was drafted 22nd overall by Cleveland in 2007, tweeted on Saturday that he's been released by the Seahawks.

Quinn had been battling with Tarvaris Jackson for the right to backup Seahawks starting quarterback Russell Wilson. The 28-year-old Quinn had a decent preseason, throwing for 271 yards and two touchdowns, but in the end, the Seahawks decided to go with a guy they're more familiar with in Jackson.

Jackson started 14 games for the Seahawks in 2011, coach Pete Carroll's second season with the team.

As for Quinn, he'll be looking to latch on to his third team in three years. Quinn was in Denver in 2011 before moving on to Kansas City in 2012.
