Danny Trevathan fumbles on 1-yard line, Wesley Woodyard hurt

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

Danny Trevathan is probably not having fun tonight. The Denver linebacker intercepted a Joe Flacco pass with the Broncos rolling 42-17 on Thursday night, sprinted towards the end zone to seal the deal for the Broncos and just before he became a hero, he DeSean Jackson'd it and turned into a full-out goat:

How have people not learned that the ball always has to cross the plane? Showboating in this instance is the eggiest of the eggs and it kind of spurred a bit of a comeback (Denver was "only" up 42-27 at this writing, as opposed to 49-17 thanks to the Ravens getting the ball back at the 20-yard line following a touchback).

But the worst part? Wesley Woodyard, one of the better players in a dangerously thin linebacking corps, suffered a nasty-looking injury on the play.

Ultimately Woodyard ended up being fine and had his helmet back on, but man Trevathan is going to have a not-so-fun Friday when he's meeting with his coaching staff and Peyton Manning.
