Chargers receiver Malcom Floyd took a scary hit Sunday when he was sandwiched by Philadelphia's Nate Allen and DeMeco Ryans, and, with the crowd hushed and his teammates kneeling on the turf in prayer, he had to be carted off the field on a stretcher.
Floyd immediately was taken to the hospital, but afterward, coach Mike McCoy said, “All the tests right now look good, so it's great for the organization to go out and get a win for Malcom.”
Now, Floyd is out indefinitely and will wear a neck brace, according to NFL.com. He also reportedly will seek a second opinion on his neck.
Either way, don't expect Floyd to be around this weekend to play. And maybe not for a while after that.
