Does Kenny Britt want out of Tennessee?

Did Kenny Britt drop a big hint about his future? (USATSI)

Though he seemingly had so much potential when he was drafted out of Rutgers with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2009 draft by the Titans, receiver Kenny Britt hasn't broken through as a big-time player.

He's certainly been arrested a few times, but he has yet to top the 50-catch mark for any season he's played.

Knowing that, did Britt drop a big hint on Twitter on Tuesday about his future employment in Tennessee? Judge for yourself.

Jared Cook, of course, left the Titans for free agency after the 2012 and now is playing with the Rams. So yeah, it appears that Britt is basically saying he's out of there once 2013 is finished.

So far this season, it appears as though the two sides aren't getting along. In two games, he has five catches for 43 yards, and the Tennessean points out that coaches benched him Sunday after he received a holding penalty. The newspaper writes that the team is tired of Britt's lackadaisical approach to blocking.

“That's two weeks in a row he's had a holding call, so it was more to refocus him,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said Monday when asked about Britt's benching. “It cost us a 10-yard penalty on a 10-yard gain, and we can't have that.”

Meanwhile, Kendall Wright (nine catches and 15 targets on the year) and Nate Washington (seven catches and 12 targets) all have played slightly more of a role in Tennessee's offense than Britt (11 targets).

For Britt's part, though, he appears to be saying all the right things (even if he's not necessarily typing with the same sentiment).

“I'd love to be involved as much as they want me to be, as much as I've been in the past. But as the game rolls out, I am there when they need me,” Britt said. “I am not the coordinator and I am not the quarterback -- they decide where the ball goes. I am still ready to go. It is a long season and we have a lot of games to go.”

Fourteen to be more exact before we find out if Britt really is willing to play the Jared Cook card to get out of town.
