Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor suffered a concussion that was to knock him out of the game on Monday night. Still, he returned to the field temporarily and threw two incomplete passes, and a day later, he admitted he didn't remember much of his team's loss to the Broncos.

Now, the players union reportedly wants to investigate why Pryor was allowed to return to the game after he took a big blow to the head from Denver linebacker Wesley Woodyard, according to Fox Sports.

“It's questionable,'' a source told ESPN.com.

“Based on reviewing the game tape, the union has concerns about whether Pryor was checked for symptoms before the decision was made to allow him to continue after Woodyard's hit, and whether Pryor went to the sideline and spoke with coach Dennis Allen before the next play, as Allen says happened,” ESPN's Ed Werder writes. “Allen said after the game that Pryor showed no immediate symptoms even though he lay face down on the field briefly after the hit. Allen stated his belief that the team followed the NFL's strict procedures.”

Here's what Pryor had to say about it on Tuesday.

The problem, though, was that the team's training staff apparently didn't examine Pryor until after the series was complete. When asked after after the game if Pryor showed any signs of being concussed, Woodyard laughed twice before answering no.

Either way, the union would like to know exactly what happened.
